The simple approach to treatment acceptance

Does presenting treatment to patients make you nervous? Do you shy away from presenting implants, bridges, ortho, or complex treatment plans to patients due to fear of rejection or fear of their negative reactions? Are you tired of patients asking you if they are paying for your next Mercedes. I certainly was until I found a better way of presenting treatment that tripled my treatment acceptance rate. The national average for treatment acceptance is 25%, Surprised? What is your current treatment acceptance rate? Dr. Justin educates you on a treatment presentation format that is simple, efficient and doesn’t feel like sales. Do you know why patients accept treatment in the first place? You might be surprised to hear its not the typical things we have been taught. Importance of practice analytics

Do you need more new patients? How do you know? May I ask if you measure any of these things in your office today: new patient numbers, number of days to next new patient appointment slot, average treatment plan value per new patient, call answer rate and call conversion rate at the front desk, treatment acceptance rate, or the hygiene re-appointment rate? Are you aware of how these factors are influencing your current revenue? Are you maximizing the life time value of each patient that you do acquire? What does it cost you to generate a potential new patient phone call in your office (cost per lead), what about the cost to get the patient into the chair (cost per acquisition). What is your current office attrition rate? Are your collections above 97%? Back to my original question: Do you need more new patients? How do you know? Do you have a new patient problem or a bunch of other problems that will only be masked by higher new patient flow, costing you thousands of dollars in marketing expenses each month only to have the patients leave out the back door if they show up at all. What about your profit, are you profitable? What are your core expenditures? Are you looking at the P/Ls (profit and loss statements) and sealing up all of our profit leaks? Sometimes we THINK we know what the problem is but I THINK is the preface of every comment that will cost you time, energy and money. I KNOW is how you want to lead your conversations about what is happening in your business. The only way to say I know is to measure. Metrics allow you to manage your business effectively and make objective/logical decision vs. subjective/emotional decisions. In this presentation Dr. Justin discusses the key metrics you should be measuring in your dental office today so you can make intelligent management decisions and increase your profit!
